Country selection, demand and competitor research, and distributor screening. Compare the routes available for your product, customers and conditions of entry.
You are considering a new country or segment. Compare its commercial potential with the demands of entry and your capacity to deliver.
What you receive
You receive an evidence-linked comparison against agreed criteria, assumptions, a ranking where supported, and conditions for entry or a smaller test.
We start with the product, target customer, candidate countries and constraints. A multi-country study has its own scope.
Demand & competition
What supports the demand case.
Who already serves the customer, how do they buy and what could make your offer relevant? Separate available facts from hypotheses.
What you receive
You receive a comparison of competitors and substitutes, differences in the offer and pricing logic, and a plan to test the remaining customer or channel assumptions.
We define the product, market and decision. Desk research does not establish demand; a customer or sales test is agreed separately.
Distributors & channels
Who to investigate before an approach.
You need a local partner or a route to market. We examine which candidates fit the product, customer and commercial requirements.
What you receive
You receive a longlist and, where the evidence supports it, a shortlist for one agreed country, with criteria, sources, reasons for exclusion and questions for the next discussion.
We agree the partner profile and criteria. A list does not confirm interest; outreach and negotiation need a separate brief.
We scope and price each study against the question, available evidence and expertise required. Below is one defined project with a fixed fee.
One product or proposition in one country. Up to eight competitors, distributors or potential partners; up to six agreed comparison criteria. Country selection across several markets or primary demand research needs its own scope.

2–3 weeks from complete inputs and the agreed start date.
Fixed fees for this scope, excluding applicable taxes and approved external costs. Separate currency price lists, not live exchange-rate conversions. Remote delivery in English or Czech; we agree the billing currency and start date before work begins.
Two or three routes forward and unresolved checks.
Recommendation memo and a 60-minute handover.
One consolidated review round within the agreed scope is included. We walk through the output with you, including a changed assumption or new scenario, so your team can use it.
What we need
You provide the offer, target customer, commercial constraints and known alternatives. Research uses public and authorised client sources; paid databases are optional, approved extras.
Scope limits
A sourced screening, not proof of demand or a partner’s willingness to work with you. Outreach, introductions, negotiation, financial due diligence and regulated-market advice are separate.
Inputs and scope for a broader study
Your product or service, target customers, candidate countries, existing alternatives, commercial constraints and the decision you need to make. Share only material you are authorised to use. Language coverage, research access and specialist needs are agreed in the brief.
For another question, we confirm the scope, fee, expertise and delivery window first. A decision pilot can examine a small sample before a larger study. It is optional, priced separately and has no automatic fee credit.
A desk-based screen can identify evidence and gaps. Demand validation needs an appropriate customer or channel test, agreed separately. A distributor list does not prove interest, availability, commercial suitability or a distribution agreement.
Candidate outreach, introductions, negotiation and sales execution are not automatically part of research. Operational commercial delivery can be scoped with STRJ. Buyer, investor and acquisition-target sourcing, valuation and transaction due diligence belong with Origination. Specialist regulatory or legal advice requires a separately confirmed qualified reviewer.
Scope, payment and changes
The written engagement confirms the scope, inputs, billing currency, start date, payment schedule and acceptance criteria before work begins. Recruitment, incentives, specialist review, paid data, translation and travel are approved extras. A new question, country, dataset format or larger sample requires a separately agreed price before additional work starts.
Martin Vaverka leads the B&F brief, scope agreement and case. We confirm the responsible lead, reviewers, relevant expertise and calendar before accepting the project. Michal Sýkora leads technical scoping and implementation at STRJ.
Any follow-on work has its own agreed output and responsibility. Your team or chosen supplier can use the study. We share the agreed brief with an implementation team only with your permission.
Separate claims about companies from sourced facts and define the commercial decision.
From the study to delivery.
Already have a brief with STRJ? We can continue from it. There is no need to fill it in again; we agree any sharing with another team first.
